I. Clark Davis Collection of Robert Coover papers, 1967-1969.

This collection consists of Robert Coover's papers. The papers include correspondence concerning Mr. Coover in addition to university records, which consist of invoices, as well as press releases that provide biographical information about Mr. Coover. There is a 1967 publication, "Quarterly Review of Literature", included in which three of Coover's stories appear. Also included are newspaper clippings regarding Coover from The Southern Illinoisan and The Daily Egyptian.

Robert Coover was born in Charles City, Iowa, in 1932 and graduated from Herrin Township High School in 1949. He worked at The Southern Illinoisan briefly as a reporter and spent two years attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Indiana University in 1953.
